In a bizarre crossover event that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of banned rituals and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret cult.
The mission focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana in addition to several objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
